Airbnb
At Airbnb the majority of my time was spent on the hosting side of the business. On hosting, I contributed to host growth, tools, retention and community. Projects I worked on ranged from small, quick iterative experiments to large vision setting and strategy.
Host onboarding
While on the Host growth team, I worked on improving the “List your space” onboarding experience with the goal of increasing conversion of new users. Our team cross functionally made data and research informed hypotheses which helped in the success of our projects. I also lead the visioning of the future of host onboarding to include a simpler flow with an in crease of personalization.
Host Landing Page
On the Host growth team, I created a landing page experience to 1) introduce the concept of hosting, 2) share the many benefits of hosting and 3) address fears potential hosts have. I worked with my cross functional partners to understand behaviors and mindsets of top of funnel users in order to give them all information needed to become a successful host.
Landing page library
Instead of building a one-off landing page solely for our team’s needs, the team decided to build a tool that enabled other Airbnb teams to quickly construct and ship landing pages. I contributed to a module library and worked with engineering to create that tool. This not only increased efficiency of multiple teams but it also helped to improve brand consistency of any new Airbnb landing page that was put into the wild.
Superhost program
Superhosts are hosts who have gone above and beyond in consistently hosting the highest quality stays to their guests. They help increase night’s booked on the Airbnband are more loyal to the platform. While on the Retention team, I designed a Superhost page that 1) introduces the Superhost program, 2) provides stat tracking to become a Superhost, and 3) offers actionable tips and resources to improve host quality.
